\u0160est\u00e9ho dubna prob\u011bhne v Praze dal\u0161\u00ed Pochod pro \u017eivot. Organiz\u00e1to\u0159i*rky se pou\u010dili*y z minul\u00fdch let, svou re\u00e1lnou agendu (mj. z\u00e1kaz interrupc\u00ed) ned\u00e1vaj\u00ed najevo a pr\u016fvod ji\u017e neprofiluj\u00ed jako n\u00e1bo\u017eenskou akci nebo pochod s k\u0159\u00ed\u017ei symbolizuj\u00edc\u00edmi \u201ezavra\u017ed\u011bn\u00e9 d\u011bti\u201c. Pochod je navenek oslavou rodiny, kde si rodi\u010de mohou d\u00e1t p\u00e1rek a d\u011bti pod\u011bkovat za to, \u017ee nebyly potraceny, \u010di kde se apeluje na vl\u00e1du, aby l\u00e9pe finan\u010dn\u011b zaopat\u0159ila rodi\u010de. \u0158ada politik\u016f \u2013 a to bez ohledu na p\u0159\u00edslu\u0161nost k sou\u010dasn\u00e9mu kabinetu \u010di opozici \u2013 se sem ostatn\u011b chod\u00ed pravideln\u011b ukazovat. Ale…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pod touhle \u0161ar\u00e1dou se skr\u00fdvaj\u00ed fundamentalistick\u00e9 n\u00e1zory a pl\u00ed\u017eiv\u00e1 snaha o manipulaci cel\u00e9 spole\u010dnosti. Organizuj\u00edc\u00ed Hnut\u00ed pro \u017eivot je na \u010desk\u00e9 pom\u011bry extr\u00e9mn\u011b aktivn\u00ed lobbyistick\u00e1 skupina. A\u010dkoli se relativn\u011b \u010dasto dost\u00e1v\u00e1 do m\u00e9di\u00ed, v\u011bt\u0161ina jejich \u010dinnosti je velmi tich\u00e1 \u2013 obch\u00e1z\u00ed se svoj\u00ed agendou v parlamentu a skrz sympatizanty*ky ve stran\u00e1ch od ANO p\u0159es ODS po KDU-\u010cSL z\u00edskaj\u00ed spojence pro zd\u00e1nliv\u011b neutr\u00e1ln\u00ed prorodinnou politiku, jej\u00edm\u017e jasn\u00fdm c\u00edlem je ale tuh\u00fd st\u0159edov\u011bk. Ten p\u0159edseda Hnut\u00ed, Radim Uch\u00e1\u010d, p\u0159ed p\u00e1r lety shrnul: \u201ez\u00e1kaz potrat\u016f (\u2026) je jen deset procent z toho, co chceme\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nen\u00ed to tak d\u00e1vno, co Hnut\u00ed pro \u017eivot vyd\u00e1valo kn\u00ed\u017eky ozna\u010duj\u00edc\u00ed gaye a lesby za \u201eperverty\u201c nebo propaguj\u00edc\u00ed vym\u00fdv\u00e1n\u00ed mozk\u016f n\u00e1hodn\u00fdch lid\u00ed s c\u00edlem \u201ep\u0159eu\u010dit\u201c je k heterosexualit\u011b. Ani tak d\u00e1vno, kdy se p\u0159edn\u00ed tv\u00e1\u0159e Hnut\u00ed \u00fa\u010dastnily boje proti odborn\u011b podlo\u017een\u00e9 sexu\u00e1ln\u00ed v\u00fdchov\u011b na \u0161kol\u00e1ch, kdy byly ve spolku vystavuj\u00edc\u00edm drastick\u00e9 sn\u00edmky odrazuj\u00edc\u00ed od interrupc\u00ed p\u0159ed \u0161kolami nebo kdy vyr\u00e1\u017eely na konference do Moskvy, aby si vyslechly \u0159e\u010dn\u011bn\u00ed Putinov\u00fdch letit\u00fdch d\u016fv\u011brn\u00edk\u016f o \u201eochran\u011b tradi\u010dn\u00ed rodiny\u201c p\u0159ed \u201egenderovou ideologi\u00ed\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hnut\u00ed pro \u017eivot je zkr\u00e1tka sou\u010d\u00e1st\u00ed \u0161t\u011bd\u0159e financovan\u00fdch politick\u00fdch s\u00edt\u00ed, kter\u00e9 nejen u n\u00e1s blokuj\u00ed narovn\u00e1n\u00ed pr\u00e1v queer lid\u00ed \u010di zodpov\u011bdn\u00e9 \u0159e\u0161en\u00ed sexu\u00e1ln\u011b podm\u00edn\u011bn\u00e9ho n\u00e1sil\u00ed a dlouh\u00e9 roky roze\u0161tv\u00e1vaj\u00ed spole\u010dnost. To, \u017ee hnut\u00ed \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u011b oslovuje volen\u00e9 z\u00e1stupce*kyn\u011b, pronaj\u00edm\u00e1 spoustu reklamn\u00edch ploch a provozuje linku \u00fadajn\u00e9 pomoci pro ne\u010dekan\u011b t\u011bhotn\u00e9 pod (zde vylo\u017een\u011b cynick\u00fdm) heslem \u201eNesoud\u00edme, pom\u00e1h\u00e1me\u201c, nic nem\u011bn\u00ed na tom, co pro n\u011bj ono \u201epro \u017eivot\u201c znamen\u00e1. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jde o \u201e\u017eivot\u201c po vzoru americk\u00fdch st\u00e1t\u016f, kde radik\u00e1ln\u00ed konzervativci nut\u00ed nezletil\u00e9 ob\u011bti zn\u00e1siln\u011bn\u00ed donosit a porodit plod. Kde se po vzoru Ruska pron\u00e1sleduje jak\u00e1koli zm\u00ednka o existenci queer lid\u00ed. Kde se to z\u00e1sadn\u00ed ve skute\u010dn\u00e9m \u017eivot\u011b \u2013 rodina a d\u011bti \u2013 bere za rukojm\u00ed extr\u00e9mn\u00ed n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00e9 ideologie a prachoby\u010dejn\u00e9ho boje o moc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takovou skupinu nenech\u00e1me Prahou proj\u00edt! Stejn\u011b jako v p\u0159edchoz\u00edch letech budeme v den pochodu v ulic\u00edch a spole\u010dn\u00fdmi silami se postar\u00e1me o jeho nen\u00e1siln\u00e9 zablokov\u00e1n\u00ed. Kv\u016fli pr\u00e1vu rozhodovat o sv\u00e9m t\u011ble, kv\u016fli pr\u00e1v\u016fm queer lid\u00ed, kv\u016fli pr\u00e1v\u016fm d\u011bt\u00ed, rodin a kv\u016fli \u017eivotu. CALL TO ACTION – BLOCKADE OF MARCH FOR LIFE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On April 6, there will be another March for Life in Prague. The organizers have learned from the past years, no longer openly declaring their true agenda (which includes banning abortions) or presenting the parade as a religious event or a march with crosses representing “murdered children”. Outwardly, the march is a celebration of the family where parents can eat hot dogs and the kids express their thanks for not getting aborted and where they call on the government to provide better financial support for parents. After all, a number of politicians \u2013 regardless of their affiliation with the current cabinet or the opposition \u2013 regularly attend the event. But…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Undearneath this charade lie fundamentalist views and an insidious attempt at social manipulation. The event is organized by Hnut\u00ed pro \u017eivot (Movement for Life), an extremely active Czech lobbying group. Although they make relatively frequent media appearances, most of their work happens quietly \u2013 they go around the parliament with their agenda and use their sympathizers inside parties ranging from ANO to ODS and KDU-\u010cSL to make allies for their seemingly neutral pro-family politics, while their eyes remain firmly fixed on the goal of puritanical restrictions. The chairman of the Movement, Radim Uch\u00e1\u010d, summed it up a few years ago: “banning abortion (…) is only ten percent of what we want”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It wasn’t so long ago that Movement for Life was publishing books labeling gay men and lesbians as “perverts” or promoting the brainwashing of people to “reeducate” them into heterosexuality. Not so long ago, either, the leading faces of the Movement took part in the fight against facts-based sex education in schools, they were part of an organisation that displayed drastic pictures discouraging abortion in front of schools or they went to conferences in Moscow to listen to speeches by Putin’s old cronies about “protecting traditional families” from “gender ideology”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In short, the Movement for Life is part of well-funded political networks here and abroad which oppose the rights of queer people and responsible solutions to gender-based violence and which have spent years creating rifts within society. The fact that the movement successfully speaks to elected representatives, rents a lot of advertising space and runs a supposed helpline for unexpectedly pregnant people under the (downright cynical) slogan “We don’t judge, we help” does not change what “for life” means to them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is “life” modeled on the United States, where conservatives force teenage victims of rape to carry to term and give birth to fetuses. Where, following the example set by Russia, any mention of the existence of queer people is persecuted. Where the important things in real life \u2013 family and children \u2013 are taken hostage by extreme religious ideology and the simple struggle for power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will not let such a group pass through Prague! As in previous years, we will be in the streets on the day of the march and will work together to non-violently block it. For the right to bodily autonomy, for the rights of queer people, for the rights of children, families and for life. They will not pass!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
