Nebin\u00e1rn\u00ed antifa\u0161ista*ka Maja je od \u010dervence 2024 ve vy\u0161et\u0159ovac\u00ed vazb\u011b v Budape\u0161ti, kam j\u00ed za podivn\u00fdch okolnost\u00ed (v rozporu s rozhodnut\u00edm n\u011bmeck\u00e9ho Spolkov\u00e9ho \u00fastavn\u00edho soudu) vydala n\u011bmeck\u00e1 policie. Od \u00fanora leto\u0161n\u00edho roku \u010del\u00ed Maja u tamn\u00edho soudu obvin\u011bn\u00ed z pokusu o t\u011b\u017ek\u00e9 ubl\u00ed\u017een\u00ed na zdrav\u00ed ve “zlo\u010dinn\u00e9m spol\u010den\u00ed”. V \u00fanoru 2023 se toti\u017e m\u011bl*a pod\u00edlet na \u00fatoc\u00edch na dva \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edky mezin\u00e1rodn\u00edho neonacistick\u00e9ho setk\u00e1n\u00ed v ma\u010farsk\u00e9m hlavn\u00edm m\u011bst\u011b. Maje v Ma\u010farsku hroz\u00ed a\u017e 24 let odn\u011bt\u00ed svobody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Od 4. \u010dervna leto\u0161n\u00edho roku (tj. 39 dn\u00ed) dr\u017e\u00ed Maja hladovku na protest proti ne\u00fanosn\u00fdm podm\u00ednk\u00e1m v budape\u0161\u0165sk\u00e9 vazebn\u00ed v\u011bznici. Po\u017eaduje, aby byl*a p\u0159evezen*a zp\u011bt do N\u011bmecka, aby se mohl*a vr\u00e1tit ke sv\u00e9 rodin\u011b a aby se mohl*a soudn\u00edho procesu v Ma\u010farsku \u00fa\u010dastnit z domova (dom\u00e1c\u00edho v\u011bzen\u00ed). Ma\u010far\u0161t\u00ed l\u00e9ka\u0159i zva\u017euj\u00ed, \u017ee Maje proti jeho*j\u00ed v\u016fli implantuj\u00ed kardiostimul\u00e1tor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stejn\u011b jako v\u00edce ne\u017e 100.000 lid\u00ed, kte\u0159\u00ed podepsali petici adresovanou Spolkov\u00e9mu ministru zahrani\u010dn\u00edch v\u011bc\u00ed Johannu Wadephulovi (CDU) a spolkov\u00e9 ministryni spravedlnosti Stefanii Hubigov\u00e9 (SPD), apelujeme na n\u011bmeck\u00e9 \u00fa\u0159ady, aby u\u010dinily jasn\u00e9 kroky vedouc\u00ed k n\u00e1vratu Maj\u00ed do N\u011bmecka a k zaji\u0161t\u011bn\u00ed pr\u00e1va na spravedliv\u00fd proces. FREE MAJA: AGAINST CRIMINALIZATION OF ANTIFASCISM<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maja, a non-binary antifascist, has been in pre-trial detention in Budapest since July 2024, where they were extradited by the German police under strange circumstances (which happened despite the decision of the German Federal Constitutional Court). Since February of this year, Maja have been facing charges of attempted serious bodily injury in a “criminal organization” in a Hungarian court. In February 2023, they are alleged to have participated in attacks on two participants of an international neo-Nazi meeting in the Hungarian capital. Maja faces up to 24 years of imprisonment in Hungary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since June 4th (i.e. 39 days), Maja has been on hunger strike in protest against the unbearable conditions in the Budapest pre-trial detention. They demand that they be transferred back to Germany so that they can return to their family and that they can participate in the trial in Hungary from home (via house arrest).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maja’s health has deteriorated considerably as a result of their long starvation in recent days. They have already lost 14 kg, their liver and kidneys are not in good condition, they have low levels of iron, phosphorus and vitamin K, there is water retention in their legs, eye twitching has been observed, their heart rate drops to 30 beats per minute. Hungarian doctors are considering implanting a pacemaker against Maja’s will. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just like more than 100,000 people who signed the petition addressed to Federal Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul (CDU) and Federal Justice Minister Stefanie Hubig (SPD), we appeal to the German authorities to take clear steps to return Maja to Germany and to ensure the right to a fair trial. We also call on them not to extradite other accused antifascists to Hungary, as Italy and France did in the same case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
